The C.A.L.M Society Hosts Their 1st Annual Membership Drive and LuncheonI
It was a sunny ordinary day in Roychester Park; Baseball games were in full swing and parents were cheering for their children when they noticed a caravan of vehicles pulling into the center. Out came The C.A.L.M. society members in their signature pink and brown to set up what would become their first annual luncheon and membership drive.
Under the Direction of Mrs. Robyn Tucker, the Roychester house was transformed into an elegant setting with a light lunch and burning candles waiting for our guests to arrive. Amid much laughter and camaraderie, potential candidates were given a bird’s eye view on just what the C.A.L.M. society’s mission and goals were. Each member was introduced by CA.L.M’s current President Traci Simmons and the Officers of the organization expounded on all facets of why we took on this role and what makes us work.
It became clear that one had to have a passion for advocacy and truly partnering with the school systems within which our children resides as that sends a message of achieving success for all involved.
Applications are coming in as a result of this successful venture so look for many additional C.A.L.M members in the near future!
