Leadership is nothing but a WURD ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Busy little Applebee’s! On Saturday October 8th, 2011 around 7 a.m., a local Applebee’s Restaurant was abuzz with a few sleepy bees who took the time to do some very special work on behalf of their School leadership program. By 8 am, those bees were ready and rearing to welcome guests as they walked through the door for the VIBE and IMAGINE very first Applebee’s Fundraiser. It was a pleasure to watch a few Escort guests to the tables, served meals with gusto and stayed behind to clean so that they would leave the place the way they found it; intact. The CALM Society members were also in attendance fully supporting the young people and the resounding feedback from those who attended was one of a job well done!! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ There is UNITY in our service for others _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

In attendance were Educators from several School Districts, Parents, Community members, students and members of the CALM Society who attended to learn what we must continue to do to support schools and families in an effort to close the disparities that exist in schools. Imagine our very pleasant surprise to find that the School Districts and families were looking to us for guidance as the organization has proven in five years that it truly takes a Village and all the stake holders must collaborate to change lives in schools. read more
